# Connect Codex

> Add OpenWork MCP to Codex with one command: codex mcp add openwork --url https://api.openworklabs.com/mcp/agent, then codex mcp login openwork.

Give Codex your organization's OpenWork skills, plugins, and connections.

**1. Add the server**

```sh theme={null}
codex mcp add openwork --url https://api.openworklabs.com/mcp/agent
```

In the Codex desktop app, paste the URL in `codex://settings/connections` instead.

**2. Sign in**

```sh theme={null}
codex mcp login openwork
```

Sign in to OpenWork in the browser and pick your organization.

**3. Try it**

Ask: "Which OpenWork organization am I connected to?"

> [accordion] Switch organizations
>
> ```sh theme={null}
> codex mcp logout openwork
> codex mcp login openwork
> ```

> [accordion] Support status
>
> Setup only: these steps follow OpenWork's OAuth profile, but native end-to-end proof is not complete. See the [MCP Gateway reference](https://openworklabs.com/docs/cloud/run-in-the-cloud/cloud-mcp.md#reference).
